Dr. Ashish Goel(Professor and Chair at the Department of Medicine)

  • He formally took over as the President of the Indian Academy of Geriatrics for a term of two years until 2024 from the previous President, Dr Prasad Mathew, Medical Superintendent at Christian Medical College at Vellore. Formed in 2002, the Indian Academy of Geriatrics is involved in training health care professionals from all over the country by conducting events and academic programs. It influences policy decisions and is a strong advocate of the needs of older persons.
